Yellow Ribbon Program 和 黄丝带补助金
The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, which allows institutions of higher learning to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund tuition expenses 和 fees that exceed the annual cap established by Congress. CTU has established a 黄丝带补助金 for eligible Veterans, or qualifying dependents, who meet the Post 9/11 退伍军人权利法》® transferability requirements. Eligibility 和 amounts are determined on an annual basis (on or after August 1) by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs based on highest in-state undergraduate rate at a public college or university.
The 黄丝带补助金 matches the VA Contributions to tuition 和 fees payments over the annual cap made to the school.
To be eligible for the 黄丝带补助金, a Veteran must:
- Be accepted for admission to the University,
- Be eligible for Chapter 33 Post-9/11 退伍军人权利法》® 好处 at the 100% rate, as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs,
- Allow for the verification of their Post-9/11 退伍军人权利法》® eligibility via a DD-214 Member-4, or Certificate of Eligibility, or comparable government document.
Active Duty Service Members 和 their spouses are not eligible for Yellow Ribbon Program as per Department of Veterans Affairs.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify. University grants or scholarships are based on established criteria as published in the University's catalog 和 are awarded after verification that the conditions of eligibility have been met.
